As aluminium is fused at a very high temperature, metal additive manufacturing requires excellent technical expertise to pre-study the thermal and mechanical effects before the 3D print and excellent knowledge of the finishing techniques for the completion of the object.

Material Description

Aluminium alloy (AlSi10Mg) is a robust and low-weight material with good thermal properties. It’s printed by sintering aluminium powder with a laser to produce metal parts that are equally as good as machined models. 3D printed aluminium does not look like traditional shiny milled aluminium. Instead, it has a matte grey finish with a slightly rougher and less defined surface.
